About Us
Owner-managed, mid-sized, products made in Germany
From soap factory to mid-sized industrial company
Founded in 1882 in Oppeln as a factory for hand-made soaps, BUDICH INTERNATIONAL has advanced to one of the leading mid-sized providers of cleaning, care, disinfection, personal hygiene and air freshening products.
At both sites in Hiddenhausen and Wittenberg, Germany, products are developed and produced for:
The owner-managed company produces exclusively in Germany. All products can carry the label „Made in Germany“.
The employees at BUDICH INTERNATIONAL speak a variety of languages. When possible, direct contact is always welcome.

What can we achieve?
In all production areas, BUDICH INTERNATIONAL possesses a high degree of flexibility in the production range. Automated filling systems for liquids are in place and allow filling for a range of sizes - from a 50-milliliter bottle to a tank. Tablet sizes can range from 1 g to 500 g.
A wide variety of formats from extrusion technology have been brought to the level of mass production. Combined products are becoming increasingly important. For example, an air freshening gel and the core of a de-scaler tab are combined with an extruded cleaning agent to create a multi-functional product for the sanitary area.
Special equipment enables the storage of raw materials containing chlorine and the production of chlorine-based products.
Practice makes perfect
All product innovations are put through rigorous tests. These assessments range from long-term durability tests (flushing for WC-rim hangers, lastingness of fragrance or foam capacity and stability) to impact tests for all relevant materials.
Panel tests are used to track consumer behaviour. They help us gain insights into how well new perfumes are perceived, if new bottles are easy to handle or if a cleaner is particularly effective.
KLEEN PURGATIS, a BUDICH GROUP company, also collects important information to develop products for industrial customers. In large-scale tests, product innovations are evaluated together with experts from the areas of facility management, laundry and disinfection.
How is an innovative, high-quality product developed?
The labs at both production sites fully equipped with competent personnel and modern technology. Aside from the routine work of inspecting incoming goods and final products, the labs also focus on steps in creating new and in enhancing existing products.
Globally positioned customers often expect a partial localisation of products through diversified formulas that comply with the various national legal standards. New raw materials, the search for substitute raw materials or the analysis of new fibres and surfaces belong to the challenges that chemists face.
The cooperation with expert users from long-term customers has proven to be very valuable for developing and testing new cleaning and care products.
How do all the peripherals work?
The BUDICH INTERNATIONAL graphics department offers and realises – often in close cooperation with customers or their agencies – design proposals.
The lab supervises the correct labelling of products, ensures marketability and guarantees that hazardous substances are marked accordingly.
We maintain a database with up-to-date information on the legal authorisation of raw materials which can be used in the different countries. As a standard, safety data sheets can be translated in up to 30 languages.
Experienced external logistics service providers are responsible for product distribution. They guarantee a precise, on-time delivery to several points of delivery – even for narrow timeframes.
Courage to innovate! Thinking ahead and recognising trends
In the fast-moving and changing consumer goods market it is essential to recognise trends early on and to react promptly. BUDICH INTERNATIONAL has always been successful in pinpointing customer needs at the right time and in turning these trends into new products.
We reach this goal by carrying out independent consumer tests and surveys and by motivating our employees to think ahead and to show the courage to innovate. Last but not least, innovative processes developed for applied technologies are decisive for competitive success.
